CRMO South Korea – Monitoring System Architecture
Central Radio Monitoring Office –
The integrated radio monitoring network(IRMN) was set up to consolidate eleven radio monitoring districts into a network on a nationwide scale. It divided into five radio monitoring regions. Each region operates one regional station, multiple local stations and remote control stations. CRMO is commanding and controlling simultaneously.
Detecting of illegal radio frequency
Detects illegal radio frequency and unlawful radio station by scanning automatically in the frequency range from 20§O to 2§× through IRMN
Detecting of illegal radio frequency
Detects illegal radio frequency and unlawful radio station by scanning automatically in the frequency range from 20§O to 2§× through IRMN
Monitoring of radio qualities
Measures whether or not the deviation in frequency tolerances, occupied bandwidth and spurious emission intensity are in conformity with the Radio Regulations in
Monitoring of radio operating conditions
Confirms the radio wave emitted from a radio station to find whether the licensed radio station is working properly and the quality of radio wave emitted conforms the technical standard or not
Mobile radio frequency monitoring
Monitoring activities in the blanket area except fixed monitoring, low-power radio station in the range of 20§O¡20§×, and a violation of radio regulation ¡¤ Detecting and tracking of illegal radio frequency ¡¤ Monitoring of radio quality ¡¤ Carry out monitoring of radio operating conditions
Monitoring for the safeguarding of human life and property
CRMO monitors international distress frequency 24hours a day for the safeguarding of human life and property. CRMO is also in charge of monitoring services for important communications (distress, urgent, safety, emergency) which are used by aviation and maritime, and supervising them against interference and jamming.
Voluntary monitoring activities of amateur communication and support for a KARDF contest
